If You Can't Beat 'em, Join 'em!

This year, due to a number of factors, I decided to step away from horse ownership for the foreseeable future. This was a really difficult decision. But I don't have the time to give my boy the time and attention he deserves while we keep a business on the rails. Most evenings we aren't home until well after six, sometimes much later than that. We work, make supper, head to bed, rinse and repeat, so when we have a weekend or an evening free, it's important to spend it together.

I have not sold my saddle...

Once I made this decision I told Alan I needed a horse band aid. He's been a dirt biker for better than a decade, and I want a dirt bike. We've had street bikes for six years now, I have dirt biked for a few times, this kinda scares the crap out of me but I am super excited to join Alan in this sport. Hopefully he'll be able to find a bike that I can learn on, but I won't outgrow too quickly.

I hope to use this platform to share this experience with anyone who is interested to follow my adventure, I will probably vlog or blog after every ride and talk about what I have learned, what more experienced riders tell me about my weaknesses and how I progress.

Stay tuned...lady rider incoming!
